What Is Your Obligation?
Every property owner must:
  • Be registered with Baltimore City
  • Have an inspection completed by a licensed, registered home inspector

What Does the Baltimore City Rental Inspection Include?
  • You can view the Baltimore City DHCD Rental License Inspection Form with an official checklist here.

For Multi-Family Properties
You can view the official Multi Unit Baltimore City DHCD checklist here.
Who is Exempt?
  • If you have a ‘program’ tenant (Section 8, etc), you can use the passed Section 8 Inspection Report in lieu of hiring a private contractor for the inspection.
